You can also find help at the Cumbria Multi-Cultural Centre which is based in Barrow-in-Furness.   It provides the following support to individuals and agencies throughout the County:

• Support and advice to members of the Black and Minority Ethnic population, including Gypsies, Travellers and Chinese cocklers
• Advice and advocacy on asylum and immigration matters, including National Asylum Support Service (NASS) 
• Signposting to appropriate agencies and organisations
• Access to IT, English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) courses 
• Women’s networking 
• Counselling service 
• Networking with agencies to raise awareness of multi-cultural issues
